Surfing the web I found this information. I think is important to know this. Also if another user has more codes... post them here...


FYI These codes have been obtained by decoding various .apk files present in the phone firmware.

This code can be used to get some interesting information about your phone and battery. It shows following 4 menus on screen:

• Phone information
• Battery information
• Battery history
• Usage statistics

*#*#7780#*#*

This code can be used for a factory data reset. It'll remove following things:

• Google account settings stored in your phone
• System and application data and settings
• Downloaded applications

It'll NOT remove:

• Current system software and bundled applications
• SD card files e.g. photos, music files, etc.

PS: Once you give this code, you get a prompt screen asking you to click on "Reset phone" button. So you get a chance to cancel your operation.

Think before you give this code. This code is used for factory format. It'll remove all files and settings including the internal memory storage. It'll also reinstall the phone firmware.
PS: Once you give this code, there is no way to cancel the operation unless you remove the battery from the phone. So think twice before giving this code.

This code is used to get information about phone camera. It shows following 4 menus:

• Update camera firmware in image (Don't try this option)
• Update camera firmware in SD card
• Get camera firmware version
• Get firmware update count

WARNING: Never use the first option otherwise your phone camera will stop working and you'll need to take your phone to service center to reinstall camera firmware.

This one is my favorite one. This code can be used to change the "End Call / Power" button action in your phone. Be default, if you long press the button, it shows a screen asking you to select any option from Silent mode, Airplane mode and Power off.
You can change this action using this code. You can enable direct power off on this button so you don't need to waste your time in selecting the option.

This code opens a File copy screen where you can backup your media files e.g. Images, Sound, Video and Voice memo.

This code can be used to enter into Service mode. You can run various tests and change settings in the service mode.

Mobile Tips and Rare codes

Don't Put your mobile closer to your ear...
This is only for those users which have memory card in their PHONES

When you try to call someone through mobile phone, don't put your mobile closer to your ears until the recipient answers, because directly after dialing,
the mobile phone would use it's maximum signaling power, which is :

2 watts = 33dbi

Be careful. please use left ear while using cell (mobile), because if you use he right one, it may affect brain directly.this is recommended by Apollo medical team.

Speed Up Your Cell Phones, Only For phones with MMC !!
This is only for those users which have memory card in their PHONES

First of all you will need:
- Computer
- UUS Connectivity of MEMORY CARD TO PC(CARD READER) NOT BLUETOOTH

Follow these steps;-
1. Remove memory card from mobile.
2. Insert it in CARD READER.
3. OPEN start menu>All program>acceSSories>system tools>DISK DEFRAGMENTER
4. Just run defragmenter at your memory card.
5. FRAGMENT IT 2 OR 3 TIMES.
6. PUT back memory card to phone.
7. ENJOY THE "SPEED

How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone:

* # 0 6 #   or    * # 9 2 7 0 2 6 8 9 #   

A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. when your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless.

You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either.

If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.

This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone. If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone.

Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your
keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car,
you can unlock the doors (or the trunk)

Imagine your mobile battery is very low, you are expecting an important Call and you don't have a charger.

To perform a full factory reset / format:

Press:
Power the phone off
Press down talk / green + 3 + * + On the Power

Note: Before proceed with the Full Factory Format, please be sure your mobile battery should be charged FULL.

This procedure will work on a Nokia 6600 / 6620 / 7610

To check the IMEI ( International Mobile Equipment Identity ) :

Press:

This procedure will work on every mobile phone

To check the phones Software revision:

EFR CALL QUALITY

To activate EFR ( Enhanced Full Rate ) Enter the code * 3 3 7 0 #
This improves call quality but decreases batterylife by about 5%
To deactivate it, Enter the code # 3 3 7 0 #

Normal Reset

Restores ini files from rom but preserves user data ( photos, 3rd party apps etc )

Hard Reset 
* # 7 3 7 0 # 
This reformats completely the C: drive. All applications and files stored on this drive will be lost

and clean default files will be rewritten.

In both case, the phone will ask you a confirmation and you will have to enter a security code ( 12345 by default )

Activate Half Rate Codec

Your phone uses a lower quality sound but you should gain approx 30% more Talk Time.
